Soliloquy

Oil 16" x 12". On something smooth found in the back of my storage closet.

My wonderful model Mayra again. It is such a blessing to have some good photo images in stock - I needed to paint a new sample and fortunately was able to find something suitable from my photo inventory.

You are the "master of color", and her hands are lovely.

A lovely painting, Chris! I especially like those graceful hands and the angle of her body on the canvas.

Lovely

Another "wow", Chris -

Thanks for sharing the closeups so we can learn from them. Love your use of color.

Gorgeous hue shifts in the face! I gotta point my students to this one to show off those color accents. Beautiful model, too - you've done her complete justice.

Nice use of the thing in the back of your closet, too. All I can find are old shoes.

Gorgeous reds, stunning model, interesting angle on the figure,

Yes, in the back of my closet are paintings ready for the landfill.

Gorgeous!

I need to do what you do: create a good reference photo inventory. Smart.

What an eye grabber. Your knowledge of the human form shines through and I can almost see your thought process in each stroke - genuinely inspired.

Are you as bold in life as you are on canvas (or any old thing in the back of your closet)?

Did I make it clear I love it?
