Enzie,

Congratulations on a happy ending! I loved your story about the client. Even though you could have gone on working on this, if you look at the total picture and see the great strides you have made recently in your work, those little things don't matter very much. It is a beautiful portrait with sensitive value changes, simple composition; and luminous color. You have caught her likeness very well.

Alexandra,

Thank you for your nice comments. I also received a very nice Email from her mom, who ended up being the recipient of the painting, which totally made my day.

I added her entry under "Read Client Comments" on my site, under Anna's painting. http://enzieshahmiri.com/anna.html

Currently I am beaming

Atta girl

Enzie, I just found your posts about your lovely girl painting. I know what you had gone through as I am still struggling with "boy in question" on the Critique section but I am trying to struggle on.

I just wanted to add that I saw your first post of this painting and I feel that the change was amazing and good choice with the beach background. Right or wrong, I know I have had clients ooh and ahhh and even tear up when they finally see the final piece. Whether it was perfect is of course always the question in my mind. As a matter of fact, almost always I feel that I could make changes and do better. Not to say that I was displeased with the finish --just that I always feel I could do better.

Atta girl ---I love it very much. I think the changes mentioned were needed with back ground, her back ,the addition of the dress, etc and I like the finished piece as does your client.

Went to your site and love your work.

Best Regards

Patt

wink

Patt, Grethe and Thomasin

Thank you for your nice comments!

Patt, I always feel I could have done better, but that usually happens after I had some breathing room to look afresh at the painting that has left my hands. My biggest problem now is not to give into the urge to re-touch old works as they return to me for their final varnish application.

Marvin, your praise means the world to me! Are you seeing me jumping up and down and doing the dance of joy?!
