Water-soluble graphite

This "selfie" is my first attempt with water-soluble graphite (Derwent Graphitone on 300 lb. hot press) and I'm enthusiastic. I find it somewhat tricky, but not as much as watercolor. The main thing is to not think of it as regular pencil. If you try to draw as you do with graphite and then wet it, it can get away from you. It's basically dry pigment, and can result in juicier washes than originally intended. The surprises are quite enjoyable.
