I am a little off on the proportions on the distance between the nose and mouth.
I like the to use the rough side of the paper because I can combine and let the color of the paper show through with the pastel. I don't like it though when I have to do a solid dark color like dark colored hair. Those deep holes are sometimes hard to fill.
