[John Hollister]

Hello all-

My name is John Hollister. I am 26 years old. I am a graduate of UW Madison. My lovely wife, Erin, and I currently reside in Milwaukee, WI, where I work as a web developer and she works at the children's hospital.

I have a little bit of formal art training, but not much, which is why I signed up here! Until recently, art was only a hobby of mine. This past year, I was coaxed by family and friends to set up shop and do some commissions.

My medium of choice is charcoal (and occasionally graphite). I have been known to do acrylics, but I find that I lack the patience to sit down and paint, AND clean up the mess afterward.

Here's a self-portrait. It's approximately 12" x 18". The medium is charcoal. I drew it this year.
