As to the color, I stilll use all of the paints on my regular palette, but lately have also been using Holbein's Foundation Greenish when I need to mix up large amounts of light colors. FG is a very large tube of a very odd set of colors that I bought for one of Milt Kobayashi's classes about 9 years ago. (For those of you who have studied with Milt, you'll know he is always experimenting with colors no one has ever heard of, and changes a lot of palette colors by the time he gets to class
) It's very opaque and lightened with titanium, so out of the cabinet and onto the palette. It's a VERY big tube, and I also still have a big tube of something called Foundation Umber, so maybe I'll try that when I run out FG.
PS Although frankly, I don't know WHAT to do do with that Coral Red. Sigh.
