"Posterizing" Pastels

I have an idea that might ease the difficulty of preserving fragile pastels for clients. I thought that I might produce a Giclee' print of my portrait for the client, since I have a good Epson printer that produces archival prints in a 13x18 size on watercolor paper. I even toyed with "posterizing" the pastel drawing. It looks quite good. I tried posterizing the photo but it didn't look good, so I am not totally obsolete.

This would be for people who don't want to pay much, and don't care about owning the original. I would still give them the original, but many people allow their children to touch the pastel, and it becomes smeared. Here's the same drawing "posterized".
