I've been a SOG member since May 2006, but never got around to introducing myself on the Forum. (I just recently got hi-speed internet, so life is good now!)
Anyway, this is a nice introduction! This was the first portrait competition I have entered, although I have been a full time professional for about 30 years. (An overview of my - rather varied - Fine Art career can be seen on the bio page of my website, as I know this subject more properly belongs in the New Member Introductions section.) So without further ado, here is the portrait that was awarded Honorable Mention. Details of the fabric and expression on the girl's face can be better seen here:

There is an interesting explanation about what is being depicted in this portrait, if anybody is interested I will post that. This is my first post on the Forum so I hope I did everything right.
