You might wait for the views of others.

You can see the benefit that the position of the window gives you in this photo. The light is able to pass across the face and accentuate the features. For future shots, you might try moving the couch and going for a simpler dining room type chair with arm rests. The arm rests will allow a place for the elbow, and the hand can naturally go to the head from either side. It's amazing what a variety of compositions you can get from this simple set-up. Removing the high back of the couch would also allow the light more of an advantage, and keep the high back of the couch from being so prominent a compositional component. And, as you did in this photo, have your light source coming in from the side. You might give the subject a little more room than I did on my crop. A matter of individual opinion.

I think you're on the right path to a great painting.
