Our family usually goes around the table and talks about one thing we're each thankful for at this time of year (something other than family and health, which are of course the big ones.)
I'm reminded of something Richard Schmid says in his book: "Painting has been my dearest friend for almost fifty years now." .... a gift for which I am truly grateful.
