Artist who painted Gov. John Connally

I received an email from the former daughter-in-law of former Governor John Connally. She's looking for an artist named Ronald Anderson that did a portrait of him. I asked John Sanden if he'd heard of this artist and he had not, but he did say the style was something more like an illustrator would do rather than a portrait painter. If anyone has any info, please post here.

Here's what Tracy Connally wrote:

The portrait has Governor Connally in the center and vignettes of other times in his life surrounding. Mrs. Connally believes that it was modeled after a portrait of Winston Churchill that was painted in the same manner.

I am close with the family and I am helping Nellie Connally with the restoration of this painting as it has a small amount of cracking which is unusual for the age. I am with a gallery that deals in late 19th and early 20th century paintings and I am familiar with restoration. When we started talking about working on the painting we became curious about the artist. We believe the painting was a gift, from the Bass family of Ft. Worth,Texas, to Gov. Connally for his 50th birthday celebration. Before I had my restorer work on the piece I wanted to see if I could get in touch with Ronald Anderson. The plan is for the painting to eventually hang in the Connally Law Building at the University of Texas Law School.
