If it is not too late, I would adumbrate (my favorite word lately) the base of the column, lose it. It takes away from that charming child.
I think Marvin was right on about the bouquet, and playing down the column. I would also lose the tips of the floral bouquet into the column more. Just teeny bits and pieces of observations.
