Yes, as soon I saw this I thought of the very old paintings of the Dutch masters. I too like that line around the edge. It helps make the portrait into a painting of good design. It becomes something someone would hang on their wall even if they didn't know the person. Very interesting! Did you use the cad. red deep, yellow ochre,ultra blue for this one also?
