Sharon, do you have a picture of this? Sounds cool.

I have a Lucidagraph (also known as a lucy) I used a lot (it is up in my attic right now) but it is the type that projects up on to tracing paper from the copy board. I found this very useful for working out compositions from different reference but I had to then transfer the image to the final support using graphite paper or some other transfer means.

This sounds like it functions as a huge opaque projector. I have always wanted the large top of the line Autograph projector (the one with the stand) but I could never justify that cost and since I had to do without it I have found other ways to get the job done. Freehand is always the cheapest but the most time consuming way. I guess I never felt the need to spend the money. I hope you can find a buyer. This thing sounds cool but the size of it is very imposing. I can see why it is no longer made. Who has the room?

Not to mention that Photoshop has taken away a lot of those movie poster jobs. Does Drew Struzan have one of these? It seems that whenever I see a big name movie that has a painted poster it has his name on it.
