Still-Life with Feet
1 Attachment(s)
Feet are a much neglected part of the human anatomy, especially in nude paintings. Again, this is from the "Visual Haiku" series.

Beautiful, Clive! I like the abstractness of the composition that runs through all of this series.

Love this composition, and how you've abstracted and simplified the forms. What a fun series!

Clive,
This is wonderful! How did I miss this? Your visual haiku is commendable. I too love the abtract nature of the figure crop with its sophisticated painterly simplification. It is your brilliant and dramatic use of light that appeals to me too. Your command of perfectly keyed colors and values, convincingly communicates the sensation of the light projected onto the skin, as well as the specific feel of that cotton drape undulating beneath. That's powerful, to be able to say that so well in paint. Garth |
Hi everyone,
It's great to be back here again, and now that I am for the first time since a long time, i'm given a wonderful visual feast by Clive and his enigmatic work! You certainly fufilled Veronese's painting philosophy with this masterpiece here Clive! And I second Garth's words: How did we miss this? Please indulge us a little more, if you can showcase the entire "Visual Haiku" series. :sunnysmil |
Another in the series
Marcus,
Thanks for the compliments. I have just posted another in the series in "Figurative Unveilings." I hope you like this one as well. |
Clive, i am another one who loves this series you're painting. There's a wonderful, fluid, drapey langour to them. Please keep posting!

Wonderful abstract quality Clive. I've been missing something, not seeing this before. Thanks.
